Giacometti-Fontana: The Search for the Absolute

“La Ricerca dell’Assoluto” – The Search for the Absolute – is an exhibition that aims to raise questions rather than give answers, to stimulate critical debate on the great question marks of mankind and the rules of the universe.

It compares two artists, Lucio Fontana and Alberto Giacometti who, despite being so different in attitude and lifestyle, share the same purpose: the search for the absolute. Through their works of art they attempt to represent the immaterial, which reflects the mystery of existence and the meaning of life. An authentic anthropological investigation that gathers masterpieces coming from all over Italy and overseas to celebrate two giants of 20th century art.
